Good to know

Countertop questions.

Quartz or quartzite: which should I choose?

Quartz is engineered, so it is non-porous and needs no sealing, which makes it the easiest to live with. Quartzite is natural stone with real veining and higher heat resistance, and it needs sealing about once a year. Bring your cabinet door and we will compare both against it.

Do natural stone countertops need sealing?

Granite, quartzite and marble are porous, so we seal them at installation and recommend resealing about once a year, more often for marble. It takes a few minutes. Quartz, soapstone and porcelain never need sealing.

Can I replace just the countertops?

Yes. We measure your existing cabinets, template the new tops, and install them with a new sink cutout and backsplash if you want one. Your cabinets stay in place.

How long does it take?

After your slab is chosen, we template once the cabinets are set. Fabrication and installation usually follow within about two weeks of templating, depending on the material and edge.

Can I see the actual slab before it is cut?

Yes. Natural stone varies from slab to slab, so we encourage you to choose your own slab and see how the veining will fall on your island before we cut.

Let's find your slab.

Bring a cabinet door, a photo of your kitchen, or rough measurements. We'll show you the right materials for how you cook and give you a clear, installed price.
